another Aria (BWV508) selected from Anna Magdalena Bach's notebook.

Lyrics:
When thou are near
I go with joy
To death and to my rest,
To death and to my rest.

Oh how joyous
Would my end be,
If your fair hands
Would close my faithful eyes.

  • Great! si it possible to have the sheet of this arrangement please?

  • Me gusta tu interpretación, simple y clara. Felicidades!

I really enjoyed your interpretation, simple and clear. Congratulations!

  • Why the hell you got a 4 star? This is very good! I like your performance very much. A 5 stars* to you.

  • This aria was composed par Gottfried Heinrich Stöltzel for Diomedes oder die triumphierende Unschuld opera, 1718. J.S. Bach integrated it in his Magdalena Bach's notebook.

  • the version I have is a little bit different and I use to play it a little faster...

  • beautiful

  • Thank you for playing this so simply and to the point. I find that a lot of the artists who perform it, be they vocal or instrumental, tend to try to hard to flourish and I think its already beautiful and doesn't need to be pushed.

  • really good!

  • The music is by Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel, a now forgotten composer.

Bach, if we see with critical's eyes, was a thief, f.ex. he arranged Concerts by Vivaldi and don't give the credits.

  • I love that piece, but I think there´s something wrong with the fingering, just keep practicing and it will sound great oh and you can try using syncopated pedal in each beat, it resolves the problem caused by an inacurate fingering (that´s of course not your fault but the editor´s).
