What is Ramadan ?

Ramadan is the ninth month in the islamic (Hijri) calender
and Ramadan is a special month for muslims
Because in Ramadan
muslims abstain from
eating and drinking
and from doing sins
and Committing iniquities
from dawn till sunrise
and this is what is called
"Fasting"
Fasting in Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam
and Muslims also try to show the noblest of manners during Ramadan
and they try to do good deeds
and to pray 
because Muslims have
been promised to have all
of their sins cleared off
if they do fast Ramadan
in total faith and hope of reward from allah
and Muslims believe that in Ramadan 
The gates of Heaven are opened
and the gates of Hell are closed
and the demons are enchained
and muslims also believe that
That prophet Mohammad was sent
in Ramadan
and in the same night
Allah revealed Holy Qur'an
in few words
Ramadan for muslims
the month of Fasting
Prayer
Forgiveness
Reform on both the personal level and the general level
The month of Qur'an
and charity
the month of leaving lies
and hate

Ramadan is not only for muslims
