  • to make this experiment more meaningfull you have to compare microwave water and boiled water. this will rule out the possibilty that the high temp changed something in the water, and not the microwave. if it turns out that plants don't grow in boiled water, this experiment is meaningless.

  • great idea!

  • PART 2: Did you nuke that water IN the plastic bottle? Is it possible the toxins in the plastic had an effect? Try it again with a few more plants. This time nuke your water in pyrex or something that will not release agents into the water when heated. Just a thought. You've go my BRAIN ticking now! I want to know WHY your experiment seemed to work. Smiles!

  • no I didn't nuke the water in the plastic bottle. if you watched the video you would see I nuked the water in a glass measuring cup.

what is happening right now is, the plant roots fell off but it is growing a stem with leaves in the water!

I am still watching it. and am doing another experiment to rule out any anomalies.

  • that would be cool!

I am doing a 10 second microwave water one with two plants in dirt. will let you know as soon as I can.

  • just 1 remark/question.

did you also COOK the normal water? because its a common known fact that COOKING annything kills all the bacteria vitamines and other organisms living inside it.

so if you DIDN'T cook the other water its most likely the heat from the microwave killed all the stuff in the water, leaving h2o with dead stuff in it and believe it or not, plants cant live on H2O! they need alot more.

  • whoa whoa whoa... changes the molecular formula of water? What's it gonna do, turn to hydrogen & Ox? Oh noes! But seriously, no offense. Microwave oven's have a Faraday cage that shields us from the radiation which only would effect us when on. I still wouldn't stand there and look in, but I'd worry more about cell phones. Microwave and conventional ovens simply heat. Why is it any worse than the other? It's not like the microwave is going to leave plutonium in yer food.

  • Would be more convinced if there were more plants to make sure the ONLY factor was the microwaved water that kills the plant(s), not something else. I'm guessing this lady is not a lab scientist.

  • @uhrich11 The first people to do this experiment weren't people on youtube, but highly qualified scientists in college labs. There are a variety of experiments done with microwaved water, from the very cruel fishtank stuff to the easy stuff like this. try it yourself instead of being skeptical in an attempt to feel better about using your microwave.

  • @eroll01 I've done this with cold water after microwaving, it's the process of how the energy waves focus on water molecules themselves. I would encourage sceptics to set up a mini growroom of cheap, easy to find herbs. Use different pots, lighting, etc, but make sure the constant divide is the water used in the control groups.

  • Very Good Do Another!!

  • You haven't done enough experiments to prove anything.

  • lol "Nren" you ignorant monkeyyyyyyyyyyyyy

microwaving any kind of food is heating up the WATER inside the food, so microwaving water is just like microwaving foods.Zarsen: water has calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, etc.

Also plants do not have iron because they have no blood, so plants are more resistant. (Non- ionizing radiation and electromagnetic fields cause structural disintegration to magnetic sources.)

Your knowledge of this topic equals to the knowledge of some people in the dark ages.

  • Google "snopes microwaved water" (without the quotes) to see someone else's experiment which shows that microwaved water does not affect plants.

  • Alex Jones is a bullshit artist. If you believe anything that comes out of that jackass's mouth, you have bigger problems than chemicals in your tapwater....

  • Of course it's not right - who drinks hot water anyway? It's not any less right than drinking kettle-heated water alone....

  • pusitol, look up "confirmation bias" on Wiki.

Basically, I bet you that there are about as many, if not more, people who've done this test and discovered there's no difference between tapwater and microwaved water. It's just that there's nothing interesting about that result so they don't bother to YouTube it....
