The year-round beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, the country's most-visited national park, will astonish you. Sprawling across more than half a million acres, this wilderness sanctuary offers an abundance of natural wonders, from over 1,600 types of wildflowers, to more than 200 species of birds. You'll also find over 800 miles of trails (including the Appalachian Trail) and 600 miles of trout streams awaiting your discovery.

On the perimeter of the park is the resort town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, home to a wide array of artisans and craftspeople. Row after row of charming shops offer everything from giant slabs of homemade fudge to handcrafted wooden rockers, imaginative ceramics to intricate stained glass. Or visit Pigeon Forge, home to more than 40 attractions including Dolly Parton's 100-acre Dollywood® theme park and the Black Bear Jamboree Dinner & Show. You can enjoy uniquely American entertainment, from Bluegrass to gospel—and, of course, good old rock 'n' roll.
