http://www.therenegadehealthshow.com - As Northeasterners, Annmarie and I really have no right showing you how to eat a prickly pear cactus fruit...

But, there are no videos that I could find on the internet on how to do it. So that means we needed to fill a void and show you how you can enjoy these unique desert fruits. :-)

  • Dude, NEVER trow away the seeds. Eat them their good for you, the skin and its like flax seeds good for your digestive system.

    And if your going going to discard them, place them outside so birds eat them.

  • I've been watching the video for 3.5 minutes and still have no idea how to cut the pear. Waste of time! This video should be 2 minutes long.

  • The video was really long, and had a lot of added information that was not necessary, but I now know how to eat a prickly pear! Thank you! Just bought some from the store today and had no idea how to eat them, I actually tried eating the seedy part tonight, not realizing that I was throwing away the good part!

  • I've seen prickly pear in several locations in CT. They're rare.
