BOKUMONO, Desho Desho? (Harvest Moon × Haruhi Suzumiya)

This is a parody of the opening animation of the (best) anime series (ever) - Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱), or The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. ^^ The theme song tune used is "Bouken Desho Desho?" (冒険でしょでしょ？), which translates to "It's an Adventure, Right, Right?", and the original artist is Aya Hirano.

The Japanese title of the Harvest Moon series is Bokujou Monogatari (牧場物語), which is usually translated as "Ranch Story" or "Farm Story." The common abbreviation is "BokuMono" - just in case you didn't understand the title. ^^; This whole project started one day while humming the theme and the random thought crossed my mind that "Bokumono" starts with the same sound and has the same amount of syllables as "bouken"... xD That, and Harvest Moon and Haruhi Suzumiya are my two absolute favorite things to obsess over, so I wanted a way to combine them somehow. x3

As for the rest of the lyrics, I didn't go too overboard with the references this time, but there are still several. If something is oddly capitalized, it's probably a reference:

So as for the video, I didn't bother killing myself trying to actually "animate" it with Paint and Windows Movie Maker, because I thought it would just look lame and desperate. xP; Sorry; I hope the art is okay by itself, even if it makes the pace a little slower. And I'm all right with my voice in the beginning, but near the end I get a little, uh, shaky, so yeah... x_x; As always, beware.

So as not to focus so much on MM as always, I tried to be as balanced as possible with the game origins used, including appearances of characters from Harvest Moon SNES, Friends of Mineral Town, A Wonderful Life, DS (Cute), Save the Homeland, Back to Nature, etc. The only ones not included are things like Rune Factory and Innocent Life that aren't part of the official Harvest Moon canon.

Long live both Haruhiism and Harvestism! Man... someday, I really hope I can pull off a Hare Hare / Harvest Harvest Yukai. x3

Heh-heh, thank you very much. ^^ But I don't own all the Harvest Moon games - just Magical Melody for GameCube, Tree of Tranquility for Wii, and Island of Happiness and Puzzle de Harvest Moon for DS. I'm pretty limited in my knowledge of all the titles, but hearing so much about them here and there has made me a fan of the Harvest Moon franchise in general.
