Golden Arrows parachute display jump into Football Park, Adelaide, South Australia in September 1976, using the then still relatively new fangled ram air Para Planes. It was the first time parachutists had jumped into the oval, later to be known as AAMI stadium. No sliders on ram airs in those days -- the old "rings and ropes" reefing system on the top of the canopy. Jumpers: Steve Swann, Col Parsons, Bernie Keenan. Ground crew: Andy Weir, Jill Swann. Pilot: the legendary George Palladij.

Looks like the 1976 2nd Semi Final between Port Adelaide and Glenelg. There is a very brief shot of the scoreboard at about 2:06.

First two canopies were really close to the stall, sinking on to the target. Then the wind dropped out behind the grandstand, making a flare too dangerous. And these were the first ram airs. We'd only just moved up from round Paracommanders.
