I'm not sure. I have the SNES and GBA versions. Like I said, maybe its just my luck and I always happen to get yellow.

Ah well for the like...14 years ive had the game it ALWAYS gave me the stomp ability. Maybe thats just my luck.

I'm pretty sure it gives you whatever colour it is when you eat it.

The glowing koopa shell doesn't give yoshi all the ability's. It gives him the stomping one. It WAS yellow till the koopa started rolling around.
