Is it wrong to come out and "hey don't listen to justin bieber because he is rubbish" No, It is the reason people are capable of posting comments on youtube videos because there are things out there that need to have comments and criticism. the debate is pointless when the only supporting evidence you give is your musical credentials and utter arrogance. Not everyone needs a basic understanding of music to listen to it. Yes this band is derived

from sounds of the 60s. Yes the melodies are sometimes unsurprising; but you can not argue that they are doing something different and people like it. My question is why are you concerned about this band's listeners and a person's inability to describe why they like music?

The point is I say these guys are bland and unimaginative and everyone else here can only come up with abstract, vague arguments that don't say anything about the form, timbre, melody or rhythm of this music. I am just pointing out that despite the fact that people listen to this music, most of those people really don't know shit about music and are incapable of specifically describing why they like it.
