"Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet." The famed commercial that had
the nation singing in 1974, changing car commercials and automotive branding
forever, is back...with a modern spin. The spot "Love Affair," created by
Deutsch Los Angeles, takes vintage footage from the original spot starring
the notorious jingle writer Ed Labunski and incorporates distinctive
characteristics of today's game. As Chevrolet and Major League Baseball have
both evolved and modernized through the decades, it's only fitting to now
hear "Free Agents, Rally Monkeys, Fantasy Leagues and Chevrolet."

  • Could any other car company make a commercial like that? It wouldn't work if Toyota sang about egg rolls and fried rice.

  • for some reason im obsessed with

  • Was just discussing baseball and hot dogs with some friends and thought of this commercial. Probably helps also that I'm a Chevy man; my last car was a Chevy, as is my current one (a 2007 Cobalt). Together they've lasted me 11+ years. Now all I need is the apple pie. :)

  • This makes me want to buy a Chevrolet... It's brainwashing me...

  • Im not american and im fan of Chevy

i think american who buys Toyota or any foreign car is not american

  • Such a classic.

  • @FASSY524 I was wondering if you could tell me anything about the recordings he made under the name of Ed Henry. I've been listening to his "Country & Eastern" album for close to 40 years and I think it's great.

  • This isn't the real version. I have the real one. It fuckin makes this sound bad. Ed is my grandfather and I have all of his jingles and songs.

  • @Pauli3b I have all of my grandfathers music. BTW the guy playing the piano at the beginning is my grandfather. Edward Labunski is his name, born in Cincinnati OH, Live in Nashville, NYC, PA, LA, etc.
