@syntheklaas The high costs you see for Handpans online are due to people trying to make a buck on ebay. If purchased directly from the makers, a Handpan should not cost you more than $2,000. There are several people who make affordable Handpans that are suitable for musicians. Google search for Pantheonsteel, balilsteelpan, caisa-music, and Bellart (dot es)

@mutlunatic no drum is worth anywhere near $2000 . i was hoping they would be around £50 in which case i would get 1 as i think they are super kool its a shame that such a high price would restrict people having 1 of these oh well back to whistling i guess : (
