  • I feel Cantons music helps christians who are early in their walk (babes). His content is simple and reaches them where they are. He gives them the "milk" of the word.

Overtime babes grow into mature believers and will naturally hunger for more in their music choices. They'll desire the "meat". Solid doctrine and more theology. Your appetite increases as you advance in God.

So while his song doesn't do much for me, I cant persecute Canton, because Lambs need to be fed too.. John 21:15

  • The over-religious folk didn't like this song. But what he was talking about was REALTALK!

  • They don' let the christians in the club!

  • i must say i disagree. i believe we should reach out to people yes, but when we do it should be lead by the Spirit. before entering a place or making a decision we should 1st pray and ask for Gods guidance. and i dont believe, unless the sovereign Lord as directed you, to go to the club. b.c im sure now Christians gonna wanna go and misinterpret cajo and dance to the songs there and "preach" i think this can lead anyone to false doctrine. my opinion

  • God Bless you Canton, This is what God wants us to do, reach all people.. if they don"t come to the church, we"ll go to them! Of course..with discipline, knowledge and Decency.

  • @SquareBear116 well said..... making it plain & simple.

  • He isn't taking God's name lightly. God isn't His name, that's who He is, a title. I am a brother, son, friend, etc. but my name is Fred. I Timothy 3:16 says " and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Who do we know that fits this description? Jesus! There is power in that name, and it definitely shouldn't be taken lightly

  • I love the song but and album am concerned with the "oh my G-d" that is what I see as an issue in the song. Gods' name is not to be taken so lightly. I am constantly encouraging the students I pastor to stop using that phrase and was disappointed to hear it Christian music. Love the album, but wish this was not part of it.

That phrase is undoing what he is doing by going against God's word even if he is repeating what someone else has said.

    Not cool for me!

  • @Younggun2600 Well said, my friend. Well said.

  • people this is easy, CLEARLY there is a problem or we wouldnt be here, the words to the song isnt right, jump high jump low! it seems that SOME people are acustom listening to junk! sometimes or all the time so they dont know the difference, read your bible, edify your spirit with good things + listen to music that comes from the bible! why dont some "christian artiste" take very good example from flame, trip lee or even lecrae, just saying! because we dont have a problem when people TALK TRUTH!

  • I am not hating. I'll be honest. I used CaJo's music to wean me off the world. He is a believer. I thought at first he was over stepping the boundaries with the club, with the explaination I understand and I appreciate that. i stand corrected. I do pray that the Holy spirit move on him to use more doctrine. That is just me.
