New demo, longer with slightly better audio. Dimarzios - Steve's Special (bridge), HS-3 (mid), Tone Zone (neck.) Also have an Avatar Contemporary 2x12 powered by the 6505+ that has a v30 and g12k100. Sounds pretty good. Boosted by ts-9.

enough tech talk, its a demo of the pickups pretty much. I also tried to incorporate more lead stuff, as requested, although i suck. sorry for any pick noise.

ps: dont mind the vertigo squeel at the end haha

  • i just have to wonder, does reversing the tonezone do a whole lot to change the tone? Because your just reversing the positioning not the wiring right

  • it makes the pickup slightly more sensitve and "flute-like" which is good for legato

  • How do you like that combo with the V30 and G12K100? I just ordered a my Avatar 4x12 Vintage with that config. Anxious.......

  • its a great combo. cuts, but is tight/full as well. im sure a 4x12 will be even more full sounding.

  • You pick kinda like Wille from LOG.....

  • what kind of guitar is that in the background?

  • Hey would i be better going with two v30s or your combo in my avatar 2x12 cab if i play alot of hard rock and old school metal?

  • @AdamFrostofficial ohh i see, i think i would give a chance to that technique, but for now, i've got my technique and i am perfect with it, but learning more techniques doesn't hurt anybody :D

  • @SHREDDER222X

He needs to find the balance between firm, and very relaxed hand and using his thumb and index finger in a fulcrum motion. If you study how Jason Becker picks in the 5th caprice, it gives very great examples. By resting the pick on the first knuckle of the index finger and laying the thumb across it, you begin to pick alot more precisely, the thumb and index begin to work kind of like a rudder of a airplane.

  • @AdamFrostofficial i think it's okay with his picking technique as long as he grabs the pick fiercy and firmly, Rusty, Friedman and much others have a different picking technique, but what they have in common is the way to grab the pick, FIRMLY.

  • you have the weirdest picking technique ive seen :) cool :P

  • try placing the pick on your first knuckle of your picking hand. As if its laying from the first knuckle to the tip of your figure and then angle it about 90 degrees toward your wrist and place your thumb perpendicular across your index finger and use your index and thumb as a rudder. look at my caprice video :)

  • I hope you got a big discount for getting purple/green cuz they really clash with that wood top. But if you like it that's cool. Nice playing too.
