  • @42sundown...pt 3 and we must have listened for a couple of hours with very little talk, and I became a fan. This is a marvelous way to spend a hot Georgia afternoon. There is such a sweet taste, and such class to this music. Thanks for some great memories both old John and Los Indios. John was 50 yrs old then and still riding saddle broncs. If he were alive today he would be 98 yrs old. I sent a nice picture of John on a bronc to the International Rodeo News in l964. Hope some remember.

  • @42sundown...pt 2...lived, on and off the road. One hot day we had just finished getting everything ready for the nights performance and John invited me to his trailer for some ice tea. We were sittin' at his kitchen table drinkin' tea and John asked me if I had ever heard of Los Indios Tabajaras. He might as well asked me about nuclear fission. I had heard a little Flamenco and spanish guitar, but really didn't know any names. John got out some 33 speed albums, showed me some pictures pt 3

  • In the early 60s, I was a Marine stationed at Parris Island and training troops.  I was also a cowboy and happy to find that the southeastern states had a lively ameteur rodeo circuit. While working for a supernice small rodeo producer, milton Carter, who was also a successful tobacco farmer, I met an older cowboy named Johnny Evans. John was a real character. He and I hit it off, became friendly, and visited when we could. John had a beautiful 35', self'contained, trailer in which he pt 2
