  • Why only koa trees? That's no forest it's a plantation. You can clearly see other plants including tree ferns growing in the understory. All of which will die if not for the gaps in the plantation. Real forest 100+ years old have almost no understory due to of lack of light, that vegetation can only survive if it's shade tolerant or in a clearing like a fallen tree. I'm curious to see what would happen had they just planted a random variety of seeds and left it alone completley.
