  • Wow, where have these guys been! I miised this song so much!!!!!

  • @akcoins - that was jeff pollard; they used to be 'the jeff pollard band'; he quit in 1981; i used to see them play at bars in north louisiana (sundown west, ruston, la) in 1975 and 1976; then they graduated to larger venues in 1977, toured with gatemouth brown and eventually morphed into 'louisiana's leroux'

  • The first time I had heard of these fellows was when they were involved in a terrible vehicle accident here in Arkansas after opening for Kansas up in Fayetteville , a couple months later they came back here to Fort Smith and opened fpr the dirt Band , they should have been the closing act because they just blew everyone away including myself. I was one of the Paramedics and arrived first on the scene of thier vehicle accident, One of the worst ones I ever worked .

  • Thanks for posting this!

Loved this group, loved this song!

"Old" LaRoux fan in Virginia Beach ;-)

  • @akcoins: The lead singer in this video is Terry Brock.

  • I remember the first time I saw LeRoux was on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. Don came on and gave this little schpiel about finding these guys walking out on the street outside the studio so they brought them in and dressed them in some "rock n roll" costumes they had backstage and taught them a few chords. They came on and did New Orleans Ladies and, of course, everyone knew Don was just joking. They got really big after that. I saw them live at Blackham Colosseum in Lafayette in about 1978 or so

  • 1st heard of them in shreveport/bossier ( along the strip by Barksdale) cant find it on the jukebox here in St Louis though, mores the pity....

  • @boomhightower - they're still playing some gigs; check their web site

  • Is that the original lead singer? I thought he quit singing when he became a preacher.

  • I used to go see them every time they played at NIGHTTOWN in Destin, FL back in the 70's.

They packed the place like a sardine can!!

    Great group...great song!

  • i love this band
