For centuries the Namal people have lived off the land on Tanna Island. They hunt for food -- grubs in the ground, wild pigs in the jungle, eels in the river and flying foxes in the trees. But they don't do it with guns or other modern weapons; they pursue their prey with handmade tools and an intimate knowledge of their environment and the creatures they live with. Hayden Turner, explorer and former zoo-keeper, joins the tribe in their village next to a fiery active volcano and they take him to hunt animals that he once looked after.
This is the opening title sequence from the Man Hunt: Kill To Survive, produced by NHNZ for broadcast on National Geographic Channels (NGCI). http://www.nationalgeographic.com
