I finally got my 3-speed GE to work with all speeds. The clips start with "gentle", then "medium, and finally "normal". The water level is on "mini" just so I didn't use so much but also give a good view of that mean agitator!

  • In 23 years I have only seen one GE 3 speed clutch.

  • This would be the 2nd one I've seen. They are very rare indeed.

  • cool the first speed is equivalent what they use for the "handwash" cycle right?

  • Well, I don't think it is to be honest. There was a model of GE that had a "handwash" speed. This one is "gentle" and is just for delicates. Handwash items were intended to go in the mini-basket I believe.

  • That agitator kicks some serious ass!

  • They didn't call it "Activator" for nothin'! Even tough, ground-in dirt doesn't stand a CHANCE...

  • epic & cute

  • Excellent sound effect

  • ACTION AGITATOR

  • I suspect the speed is fast because the "stroke" or arc is so short. I find the straight vane activator on GEs more effective than the spiral ramp style.

  • Kewl, I've *never* seen a GE agitate that slow!
