There is this myth about socialist societies, that the widespread poverty that exists under Marxist leaders is based on some sort of ideological error. In fact this poverty is intentional and planned. Leftists want to run the lives of other people because they want to enslave them and personally profit thereby.

Stossel speaks out against the Left's bullshit. That's why they hate him.

I can tell you don't watch his show. He has done episodes about prostitution, war, drug legalization and other social issues. All of which he is liberal on.

LOL Stossel should not b surprised why the left hates him. He spends 99% of his time talking about conservative economic policies such as capitalism, profit-motive, anti-environment, and privatization. Maybe if he spent a little time on his show talking about liberal social policies like supporting gay marriage, loosening immigration policies, and pulling out troops he'll be more liked by liberals. Libertarian my ass, he just uses the tittle so critics can't complain about his conservative bias

John Stossel would be classified as a conservative, because he actually explains the actual practices of economics. I'm studying economics, and yes, I do get shunned by the left (which I use to identify with more) and with that said they automatically assume I want to kill the poor. 70% of politicians, left and right, just don't understand economics and just waist the potential the U.S. has as a... well semi free market now.

Eh, I lean left and I still love John Stossel. Then again, I've always had a bit of a libertarian streak deep down.
