@Fitzcard and the extremist wont bother voting unless they think a real change is coming... obama tricked alot of left wing voters into thinking hes gonna shake the system... however i was rooting for ron paul and mike gravel, a real capitalist and a real socialist who would bring change, and neither of them won, they were both purposely ignored

@Fitzcard if hes mexican american and will deal with the minoritys problems instead of blindly supporting republican ideals, then he would have a good chance... but either hardcore conservatives will vote against him, or the latinos will... and obama ran on "no more lobbying" and "healthcare for all", not very bipartisan... he won with the vote of the far left, a vote alot of people cant win... personally i would have rather had brian moore from the socialist party, but 3rd parties are small

The only way to win with just your base is if its a 3 party run like Clinton vs Bush vs Perot, or Clinton vs Dole vs Perot. In a two party run you need the middle, not your base, your base are zombies, they'll vote for you if you had green skin, horns and walked on all four.

@wildboy789789 GP's mother, jebs wife. He, George P Bush is mexican american. Im guessing that will hold a bit of weight with the voting demographic. Also, Obama ran on biartisanship it was core to his campaign, the bases will vote along partisan always. A yellow dog dem as they called themselves in the 60's are the same today, they'd vote a "yellar dog" into office before a republican, vice versa. Obama ran on bipartisanship and talked of reaching across party lines the entire campaign.
