Animation showing how AppleScript can automate repetitive, time-consuming and tedious tasks. This one takes a 24-page InDesign document, containing 12 postcards, and separates it into a dozen 2-page files — each automatically named with the postcard's product code. And, yes, that dialog showing how long it takes is real and accurate (running CS2 on a G5 PowerPC running OS X 10.5.7).
@JawSaLee
These videos show pure Applescript in action. They are intended mostly for potential employers to showcase the sorts of workflow efficiencies I can achieve for them – so I don't give away the code for these more complex scripts, sorry. If you are interested in learning Applescript you can see and download simpler examples from my blog – just google "macgrunt applescript" – you should find me pretty easily.
Good luck to you
