LOL... The Hindu King wanted to join India? What is this guy smoking? Seriously! That jackass of a King created this Kashmiri mess for India precisely because he did not join the Indian Union when he was supposed to. He wanted to have his own kingdom, until Pakistan invaded his little shit-hole. He then panicked and asked for India's help. It was then, that India put forward the condition that help will come only if he joins the Indian Union.

A very simplistic and half baked description of the south asia situation.
