Joan and Kris did a 1 hour workshop on singing campfire rounds at the 2009 Flagstaff Folk Festival. This is just the most basic part of it which should help those interested in incorporating round singing into their campouts. Here is what I noticed about how they instructed the singers :
1. They are strong teachers that exude confidence and encouragement.
2. They made sure the group knew and practices the song before trying it as a round.
3. They lead them through the process using hand gestures and by example.
I am only sorry I didn't have enough battery left to tape the whole thing. Maybe we can do the more advanced stuff next year?
Just a great video. Thanks to preserve these traditions.

Well "rounded" teaching event. Definitely likely to get aROUND! Reminds me a bit of pi which relates STRONGLY to rounds too! It was nice to round out my week listening to this video after a couple of days at Camp Harmony in California. Thanks!
