Nothing special really, pity. The voice is out of synch with the movie!

Yes, 'Making Short Films' is a great book, but it's a real dichotomy because the actual shorts it cites as fantastic are not. The short 'Broken' looks to be the typical nasty flick that amateurs seem obsessed with and this 'Greta May' is poor. I can see the point, I think, but the music and acting are horrible (sorry ;). Ironically, it's better than the short story it's based on which reads like soft porn meets Mills and Boon. BBC's Film Making website has some truly wonderful shorts!

"Making Short Films" was a great book but it was totally compromised after reading his screenplay version of the short story Greta May at the end. It was awful! He totally missed the point of the story and changed the personality of the two main characters and threw in a dash of exposition! I don't see how he can write a book on making short films and then produce something like this. I guess you cant learn talent.
