This is a program developed for the Wiremap project (http://wiremap.phedhex.com). This program takes the mouse location and creates a trail in the surface of this object. I can also click on my mouse to raise and lower the waves.

A different version of this program was exhibited at the Minitek Electronic Music Festival held in NYC back in September of 08.

The hardware of this installation is a brand new version of the Wiremap. I took plenty of documentation during the construction of this particular project, and I am working on publishing a tutorial on how to build your own.

Also - if you want to run a version of the program that's generating this image:

  • Yeah, I've played w/ that stuff a little bit. Right now I'm focusing on making an instructable on the wiremap so other folks can build and swap max patches. I'll link to that as soon as I get it all together.
