I didn't hear your radio, so I guess you weren't getting a flight following (I know you don't have to, since you were flying under & around the Class B airspace). Did you request a following (and maybe ATC just told you to stay clear of Class B and squawk 1200)? Or did you just fly in there without contacting Norcal?
