After shooting away all night the crew winch up for the last time. This is known as the "daylight shot" because it is on daybreak. this one is what trawlermen want, 3 big cod-ends full of big clean catch!
Before sorting starts however, the gear needs to be racked, as daybreak means the end of trawling for the night.

  • @fryingfries1 hahaha i reckon

  • take ya time to undo the cod ends

  • same here the shouting and abuse would have been going full pelt for taking so long, but good ob on the doors boys

  • back in the day we woulda got shot for taking so long to pull the bags!!

  • good stuff mate!

  • good catch ,its just a pity this form of fishing has such a horrendous bycatch waste.

  • They stowed the gear fast, our skipper wanted to clear the sorting tray first. We left the nets out with the cod end undone whilst we idled at about 900rpm in and sorted, this helped clean the nets as well.

  • this brings back alot of memorys ....
