not to difficult. notes are upside down, similar to a guitar in the opposite hand. G,D,A,E. feels much like a 12 string, but only 8. But with smaller frets! I do believe this can be played easier, but i just havent tried to finger it out yet. Thanks everyone!

Great job. Is mandolin difficult to learn?
I've been playing guitar since 1975, I also play a little banjo and of course bass guitar. I recorded this song on a classical guitar (nylon strings) I had a capo on the 5th (I think?...) and it had a great sound. It was mixed on a multi-track recorder with delay, also played another track with my Taylor 214CE. The results were quite impressive, except my vocals suffer badly, but have a listen if you will.
