For the Coronation of George I
The Lord is a sun and a shield:
the Lord will give grace and glory.
Now know I, that the Lord saveth his Anointed:
and will hear him from his holy heav'n,
with the saving strength of his right hand.
For the King trusteth in the Lord:
through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
His right hand shall find out all hisenemies.
His salvation is nigh them that fear him:
that glory may dwell in our land.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
who only doth wondrous things:
and blessed be his glorious name for ever:
and let the whole earth be filled with thy glory.
