Thanks for replying. I see that motive for this crime has never been explained. Do his friends have any explanation? What about those rumors that Gerdt was part of a cult? Or did he do it because he didn't like big corporations? Do you know if Gerdt owned or wore a black trench coat?

I have no answers for the questions you asked and probably no one has.

I understand that he did not have many friends, he probably was not part of any cult, he expressed no hate towards big corporations and he did not wear distinctive clothing. These are just my opinions and beliefs, based on Finnish media during that time (I have almost total collection of newspapers with articles of this).

My other videos, by the way, presents Finnish television program called "Police-TV". Unfortunate for you, they are in Finnish language too. What is common with this and the other video, is that the nickname "Ice" is in both of them.

The Police-TV program is about the easiness to acquire source materials for high explosives. The program idea was conceived because kids like to build these aluminium-plumbing acid "bombs". It was then expanded to span (somewhat) towards high explosives.

Jo jokapäiväinen kemikaali on vaarallinen!!! Divetymonoksidi tappaa jos sitä nauttii liikaa ja tappaa jos sitä on nauttimatta... vuodessa siihen kuolee useita ihmisiä (nauttivat sitä henkeensä jne). This phenomenom started in the early '90s here in the US and has now gone to Europe(erfurt/steinhauser, antwerp/vanthemsche, emsdetten/bosse, tuusula/auvinen). What disturbs me about the Gerdt case, like all the others is the lack of info on his background. My research indicates these types NEVER act alone. My gut feeling is that someone got him to take the device to the mall and it was then triggered remotely via phone.

I have been tracking the "Columbine-clients" for years. Gerdt is just another in a long line of young people who kill in a random-rage pattern for no apparent motive at all. But there is no such thing as a motiveless crime. So why don't police find one? They don't want to know.
