Tainan is often called the "the City of Snacks" (小吃城). In addition to the wide variety of food available at night markets, the city also has an abundance of street vendors specializing in tasty and cheap dishes.

Liam and Austin are talking to a Tainan Taiwan food vendor that is always setup in the mornings across the road from Chang Jung High School library. Really nice guy that Austin like's buying Fantwan from every morning. By time I got the video camera out their conversation was wrapping up. We have seen this guy in the same spot every time we have visited Taiwan over the years.

Taiwanese people are some of the warmest and kindest people you will ever encounter. Sometimes they refuse to take money from the 'foreign visitor' because they want to show them their generosity and are more concerned about the visitor having a good experience to share about Taiwan than taking their money, they want to share with you. Can you imagine that happening in New York? ha
