Formula 1 test in Hockenheim 1987. The end of the turbo-era. 1986 the engines had 1500 bhp. The most powerfull engines where build by BMW. There is nothing better than a turbocharged engine ;-) HD 1080. Sorry for the dust on the pictures. The originals are ok but the scanner makes it even worst. Don't know how to clean photos. Testtage in Hockenheim. Die Turbo-Ära mit 1500 PS geht dem Ende zu. Alain Prost ließt die Sport Auto ;-) Tja, BMW hatte wohl die stärksten Motoren die die Formel 1 je gesehen hat. Über 1500 PS. Sind angeblich mit Flugbenzin aus dem 2. Weltkrieg erreicht worden. Literleistungen von über 1000 PS. Muß man sich mal vorstellen. Sorry für den Staub, die Originale sind ganz OK aber der Scanner macht es viel schlimmer. Weiß nicht wie man 20 Jahre alte Fotos reinigt. Pictures made by myself with a Minolta 7000

  • @zumbadorrallys could be. i took pictures in hockenheim in 87 and 88. the williams with the v8 engine is from 88. think there are from 87 and 88.

  • I think it is time now to clean all the pictures and scan them again. i wanted to avoid the risk of demaging them but digitaly they might live even longer. In the next days i upload new videos. The aquasoft-logo is because aquasoft is the only software that makes HD1080-diashows.

  • @markandrach in the 1980's the driver supplied the control, nowadays drivers rely too much on their cars to go fast. I'm not saying todays f1 drivers don't have extreme skills, but they are nowhere close to the ability of some of the drivers of the 80's/ early 90's Niki Lauda, Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Gilles Villeneuve, Nelson Piquet, and Michael Schumacher.

  • 1:25 is a 3.5 Cosworth DFZ non turbo

  • 0:10 is a 3.5 Judd CV V8 not a turbo engine

    Das war noch eine tolle Zeit da war die welt noch inordnung und wenn ich mir heute die F1 angucke da kann ich nur noch den Kopfschüteln das macht keinen spaß mehr zugucken.

    Aber man kann die gute alte zeit ja noch oft geung bei Oldtimer veranstaltungen wie bei dem Eifelrennen zumbeispiel wieder erleben ;)

  • the Turbo are banned by the FIA its because the power cranked up too much and in order to minimum the danger by the using of Turbo, they are banned and F1 cars change to N/A engine again,,,,,,,,but in my point of view opinion, F1 cars these day are really bored compare to the F1 turbo engine
