  • What scales do you use ?

  • @MordoTheGrejt

I'm using the minor blues and major scale together.

  • Do you just unscrew the pickguard? Are the screws visible? Cheers nice playing btw!

  • @NistleDC1

Two screws only. The one close to the neck and the one at the bottom of the guitar.

  • That was clean. Do you know of any technical exercises I can practice so I can play less sloppy?

  • @DistortedV12

Sorry I am answering after 10 months, your comment never made it to my in-box. I don't know of a particular technique but I would suggest to brake the solos (or whatever you're playing) in small manageable parts and play them slowly 'till you feel comfortable with it. Then do the same with the next part. When you feel confortable with both separate sections, focus on the part that "joins" them (the end of the first part and beginning of the second one). Once you get it...

  • @NoisyStrings

Once you get it, practice playing both sections together. If you make a mistake, and it keeps repeating, this is a signal that you should slowdown 'till it's gone. If you ignore the signal, you will be training yourself to pick up the mistake every time. Do the same with the remaining parts. Sloppiness should be gone when working out a song this way.

Not sure if this is clear. Let me know if you have any question :)

  • nice

  • This sounded great. A straight ahead but high quality piece of blues playing. You have good ears!
