@bemahfriend Yes it is beyond terrible. Insurance and Pharma have got to be regulated so that no other beautiful young person -- or of any age--be denied care and DIE. Nataline's family has devoted themselves to reversing the law ERISA-- a law that prevents those who have suffered under the insurance guillotine & are in GROUP INS. PLANS from suing under the precedent set by Black v Blue Cross. They are a wonderful family.

DO you people in USA know how much money private health care providers collect ? They collect 7000 $ for every American for 1 year , but you have 60.000.000 uninsured and another 30.000.000 underinsured, WHERE is money GOING ? CUBA for each citizen spends 250 $ per year on health care , USA 7000 $ but MONEY is going somwhere else.

Not only has Nataline's family suffered her loss, they cannot sue Cigna b/c they are group policy holders. There's a precedent, Elizabeth Black v Blue Cross, which was a class action law suit. The PRECEDENT Black v Blue Cross established was that individual policyholders who have had MID-YEAR (fiscal year and can be same as calender year) have grounds to SUE if their insurer makes unilateral changes to their policies. I hope people who need to bring suit see this.

It is beyond difficult to put up with this-- we have no choice when people are sometimes uninformed, our politicians not ethical--- receiving massive amounts of money from lobbyist PAID to influence their votes on OUR health care. People in the USA who are individual policy holders CAN SUE-- the precedent is Elizabeth Black v Blue Cross. Problem is, they don't know their rights. You are RIGHT; these corrupt corporations known as insurance ONLY care about BIG PROFITS!

Nataline DIED waiting for a liver transplant that CIGNA DENIED then REVERSED THEIR DECISION; just in time for Nataline's mother to be told her daughter was failing. Nataline's family are now heroes for speaking out..
