Great video! I love that toy are experimenting with the babybug! I alwAys wondered if you could use contact paper with the cricut!
-
couldn't find contact paper sheets at Hobby Lobby or Walmart. Bought a regular roll. Will try tomorrow and let you know how it turns out.

I viewed this video and went crazy with contact paper. I do cut mine right side up and have no problem with it not sticking to my mat. I use the settings 3 - 3 - 4 (I think) with the regular blade this setting cuts all the way through the contact paper itself but does not cut through the backing. I kind of had to play with the settings to get it right. Thanks for posting this video!!!

Looks like you also use the deep cut blade.

This was very clear and great to see. I wanted something that was not going to permanently stick when I do stencils on the wall. AND Inexpensive! Thx

What settings did yhou set your machine on?
Thanks

Thanks..I was lost at first......until you said to hit the flip button on your create....luv it
-
is this the same point as vinyl? does it do basically the same thing? I know you cut it differently
-
is the contact paper permanent once you place on door or other objects
-
No its not like cutting vinyl....If you don't turn the contact paper upside down the contact paper will slide all over the place...(the cut out pieces)
-
My understanding is so the wheels don't mark the vinyl this way
-
I don't understand why you turned it upside down. I also don't know why you cut all the way through. I unerstand the point of your video. Contact paper is just like vinyl.
I used the blade that came with the cricut create not the deep blade.
