So glad I went to this concert, was only 13 at the time. This night changed my opinion on music forever and made me realise just how much respect these old blokes deserve. You'd find it near impossible to find better musicians than these guys, and yet they don't want fame or money, they're in it for the music. The way it should be.

Not only has Cohen's voice changed, but he has changed some of the lyrics, and of course the tempo. What I find better, depends on my mood--just like with all music.

Waaaaaaaaaay back when I was in High School and a few chums were listening to Cohen, I didn't really understand what he was singing about. His voice spooked me. Gosh what I missed by not listening. He was only singing about truth. Sure glad I discovered his music in the last few years. Thanks for sharing this.

I saw Cohen do this song 37yrs ago.....& here he is doing it better than ever. The man's a genius & a poet....just listen to him, my words are inadequate
