Is life really over after the age of 70? For most of all probably the answer is yes. But for the film's two retired protagonists it's just beginnig.
Emil and Hédi during their 50 years of happy togetherness got all kinds of slaps in the face from life. They are happy but poor. On a glorious day Emil decides to stop it all and exits his councill-house that is threatened by debt collectors. He sits behind the wheel of his old car and leaves to rob -- gently and politely -- the first post office in his way. After his next - gas station - robbery he has two out of town investigators at his heels. The work of the police-talent Ági and the hot-headed Andor is shadowed by the fact that Andor got intimate with a prostitute on a stag party.
They try to set a trap for Emil by using Hédi. But during the confrontation Hédi gets away with her husband and set out for a path that makes them both feel free and gives them the chance to live through everything they dreamed of in their youth. With the police partners after them, they find shelter at an old friend who draws them into carrying out a really big party...
