AT&T did not care how they treated me a new customer. If you go with them don't think they are going to care how they treat you even if you are a new customer. Hopefully you will have more choices than just them for services.

  • Um, you said it yourself all you need is the PPPoE login entered to get to your connection up. Maybe you should learn to read the instructions that came on the installation disc that came with the modem. That would have walked you through the entire process of registering the account and configuring your modem automatically with the PPPoE login information that YOU create during registration.

  • @projectomni - I did read everything and it would seem that it was going to work but they had it blocked so it would not work. Everything worked find once they decided to give the access to me without me having to change anything.

  • why would they care about you? when you call customer service your just some other voice in their ear they have to deal with.

  • AT&T is the world's worst customer service. And that says a lot. The worst.

  • Do you really think if it was just a matter of clicks to get you service that they can charge you for that they wouldn't do it. That doesn't seem right for any corporation. Think about that. By not due they mean the tech has to come to your residence to hook something up outside. It is not a matter of clicks.

  • the only thing there, is that tech support can definitely help you with your PPPoE username and password however, if the account hasn't been activated yet, we really can't get someone registered... what we usually do is to get the account expedited and with 24hours you get your internet up and running....

  • I think the issue here is the wire work in the home. Older homes need to be brought up to speed for the internet to work its best. But at the same time, companies that make billions need to work on a better way to distribute the service. Another thing is if you call in mad and screaming it makes it really hard for people to understand the issue thats at hand.

  • @5b1gNoMo79 You should go to Las Vegas and do some gambling! I haven't had worse service from any company in the past 20 years. AT&T has lost my business for good. I used to be a fairly loyal customer, but my recent dealings were unbelievable. Trust me on this...you are very lucky.

  • uh... you need to give them another chance. i've had the cell phone service for about 6 years and i would not trade them for the world and they have THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE of any company i've ever talked to. period and point blank. verizon is another story.
