  • Ah the Irish Balladeers. I have that old vinyl record someplace with the lads standing in front of a coal breaker. This tune has some funny lyrics. If you can't make out all the words, the song is about a barroom tough guy who is a great "BS"er if not the greatest miner.

    "Oh Barney dear, don't hurt yerself"

    I heard me Molly cry

    "Ah sure I won't" I says to her..

    "A careful man am I."

    Tis a miner's everlasting fear

    of in the mines to die...

    And I worry bout it often in the barroom.
