The Continental and the Crown Vic aren't very similar. It's the Town Car that is like a cousin or sibling to the Vic. Continental is FWD and is built on the D186 platform as is the Taurus and Sable, while the Town Car, Crown Vic, Grand Marquis, and Marauder on built on the Panther platform.

I like the amber rear turn signal, looks better than the solid red lens in the '03+ models.
