Despite initial resistance to the implementation of the HST in British Columbia, attitudes towards the tax are changing. Some who initially opposed the tax are now in favor of keeping the HST having seen some of its benefits. The CTF opposes the reinstatement of the costly, job-killing PST - we're pushing for a steep two-point cut in the HST instead.
Attention BC Government: You work for us, assholes.
You have lied too many times. After the huge lie you made about the HST in the first place, what confidence do I have that you'll keep to your 2% reduction in 2014? Why do I have to wait 3 years for it to happen? If you think I'm punishing you guys for "past government mistakes", then remember this: the only difference between now, and the Campbell-lead platform is a DIFFERENT PARTY LEADER. That's it.

Nothing like simple GREED and a $1,000 per quarter changing a person's mind is there Peter?
I notice that never mentioned a word about reducing your menu prices to pass on the savings to the public OR that you have hired additional staff. I presume you just added the extra $1,000/quarter into your pocket.
No reduced menu prices? No additional jobs created? What a surprise! Like we believed that would happen!

Vote Yes to Extinguish the HST save the consumers 2.2 billion/yr. They said it was revenue neutral now liberals say consumers the tax the corporations were paying before. and an extra $850 million. The Underground economy with HST will be bigger than the BC Bud underground. 90% of BC wealth is owned by Corporations and they want to pad those profits with you paying more tax. Vote Yes to Extinguish the tax or You will pay...Your Children will pay......and there Children will pay FOREVER !!!

Hehe... West Vancouver restaurant opinion. Well if your customers can afford to pay $1.5mil for a single house (in West Van) I don't think they care much about HST in restaurants.
On the other note I think HST is a great idea the problem is it is too high! I love to have one tax for everything rather than all these small BS taxes that add up. Make HST 7% and I can guarantee you people won't bitch about it!

@EmptyMellon the problem with taxes is that there are always loopholes and freeriders with them. It does not impose itself on every user of services. User fees are the only 'fair' tax, much like customers paying private companies.
