@gwbian08 You have no concern or empathy for people that are actually in need of Medical treatment. Folks that are having acute abdominal pain (because of a ruptured appendix/dissected aneurysm ) are forced to wait until your mysterious abdominal pain is dealt with. I would venture to say people have actually died because of you and your kind. Please do the world a favor and get addicted to a street drug or alcohol, and leave us alone. (Pain is not life-threatening. Go to a County clinic).

@bradenwoodburnsucks even verbal threats on a healthcare provider can be prosecuted as a felony. why dont you just mention where we can find you and have that gun handy when the police show up and i am sure they can take care of your pain...permanently.

doctors and nurses are just as much to blame drud seekers are the way they are, ya'll are the ones that prescribe the shit, i wish i had never seen a pill in my life, its ruined me, i had to take them because i was sufferring, but i didnt want the narcotics, the doctor kept on and on saying i needed to take them to get better, then he cut my back open to, theres along story with all this, but i would never had gotten addicted if the doctor hadnt wrote them

i agree with everyone of the health care people on here, but all of us aint like that, i was addicted to pain meds because of a herniated disk and degenerate disk disease, the doctor said i needed pain pills, all i wanted was pt,chiropratcors, and a tense unit, but they said that wouldnt help, he kept me on pain pills for 10 years, ive been thru hell because of it and now im on suboxones, i agree drug seekers need to get straighten out, but its just as much ur alls fault for putting people onem
oh...and since your spelling and grammar leads me to think you are not educated as well as not being responsible enough to be considered an adult, let me remind you that the title says ER...as in emergency room. Lets be sure to separate your blame on ER doctors from the doctors you are claiming to have force fed you pills over 10 years. Some doctors have been known to prescribe narcotics to patients who come to them displaying the demand for them. Yellow pages has a listing of chiropractors..duh

@my3000gtvr4 Thanks for sharing your story with us. This is a perfect example of someone who is in denial and doesnt want to accept the responsibility for their own actions. So much easier to place the blame on others. The fact is, the healthcare workers know the real truth. We know that we try our best to help people but r some who will reject our kindness & spit in our face while holding their hand out. We do this because not everyone is like this & there are many who appreciate it. Ur welcome

@my3000gtvr4 So....in closing. Accept and learn from your lack of responsibility. Become an adult and seek help for your short comings. You are weak and need some help with all this. You have shown that you are unable to control your actions and follow simple instructions (like a child). Don't put the blame on others who were trying to help you. They assumed that you were not abusing their generosity and having total disregard to your own health. We dont force them down your throat.

We don't come to you and drag you into the ER. You come to us for the relief of pain. Controlling pain is part of our job and when done properly, can be very beneficial. Do we go home with you and make sure you follow our instructions? No...we assume you are an adult and a responsible one. Apparently the ones who become addicted to the methods given to them, are not adult enough to accept the responsibility. Its a shame because there are many who have and have done well with them...

@my3000gtvr4 A pain management office is best suited for this. You are given a script that clearly states the amount and time of dosage to be taken. Often, these are ignored by the person taking them. They don't get the same "high" and take more pills, more often. That is why it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the person to make sure they follow the instructions on the bottle. You try to place the blame on healthcare workers. Try stepping up and accepting the blame where it really belongs...on yourself

@my3000gtvr4 Okay...hope you got it off your chest once and for all. Normally I would delete rant and raves but yours, I will leave so everyone can see what someone who lacks the sense of any responsibility sounds like. I believe you are leaving a lot of details out of your statements. I seriously doubt you are getting all these scripts from the same doctor. Hopping around hospital after hospital, doctor after doctor, is the major way these people try to manipulate the system. (to be continued)
