the government is so full of shit. we aren't allowed to gamble with our own money in our own home, but we get to watch these guys (who are sponsored by poker websites) everyday play for hundred thousand dollars on tv and during the commercial break we get to watch fulltilt and pokerstars advertisement. that's like saying heroin is illegal but if u want to use, then call this drug dealer and he'll hook u up wit some good stuff

I don't play poker online and I have no proof that poker is rigged but I know that it's ridiculous to say poker is rigged online, unless it's UB. Major poker sites such as Pokerstars and Full Tilt are legit and heavily sponsored multi-million dollar company. What I don't get is, how they ban poker online but legalize horse racing, Super Lotto, and Scratchers. Just because it's taxed? What a pile load of shit.

Doyle...........I think I love you.

It's not rigged you idiot.
It's very hard to win tho, i have been living on fulltilt for the last 3,5half year.
In that case i like the rigged part

They have a service that is in demand, obviously. The rakes are better because they have millions of people playing at once. And just because they haven't been busted doesn't mean it's fair. If full tilt poker uses a "random card generator" how come it says nothing of that sort on its website. If you asked them how it worked they wouldn't be "allowed" to tell you. The cards aren't random. If the play money system and the real money system were the same, I would be a millionaire.

I think you're misunderstanding how sites such as FullTilt and Party Poker make their money.
Most internet poker sites work on what is known as a "rake" system, meaning that if a pot is over a certain size, the site will take a percentage of these chips from the overall winnings. This obviously only applies to cash games. This is the same principle used by casino poker rooms. Why would any of these sites rig any deck when they stand to make money off every decent sized pot anyway?
-
okay well... i believe people should have the option to play online poker, however, it is incredibly rigged. Everybody I know who has played full tilt or party poker, or any other poker website knows that the cards are not random. You will lose money on these sites. So play if you want.. but play with caution.

Online poker sites have NO incentive to cheat. They make money hand over fist because they:
1. Have a service that is in demand.
2. Offer better prices and rates than brick-and-mortar casinos.
3. Operate in an environment with relatively low barriers to entry. If a poker site is unfair or doesn't crack down on cheating, people will find out (POTRIPPER for example), and those sites will LOSE their business to more reputable sites. Top sites make so much on rake they have no reason to cheat.
