According to the Boston Herald , Julio Lugo (quadriceps) is unlikely to come off the disabled list before September.
Lugo took ground balls Tuesday for the first time since injuring his quadriceps on July 11, but will likely need a fairly lengthy minor league rehab assignment before returning. Jed Lowrie has started 20 of 25 games in his place at shortstop.
