You are really crazzy.
I would take MK II over MK III anyday, so will almost everybody.
UMK 3 was such a big step ahead MK 3. More balancing (take sub zero in mk 3 to see how broken he is), more characters, more story... better game.

@Xecutionner2K YOUR FUCKING CRAZY!!!!!!!!! Mortal Kombat 3 was in fact, the best game in the Mortal Kombat series besides Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. And to say that the first one sucks, then your not a fucking Mortal Kombat fan.

For its terrific atmosphere i quite agree.
A part from that, MK 1 sucked, so did Mortal kombat 3.
Best = MK 9 (upcoming), MK II (atmosphere), UMK 3 (competitive MK) / Trilogy (fun factor).
