how did you model the head?
-
how did you make it so the hair doesn't occlude the eyes? that's a really nice touch
-
Could you please make a tutorial about hout to model this awesome hair? I'm kinda having a bad time trying to find out a way to model anime-style hair...
-
Very very very awesome indeed!

And well, on the rig you could merge some controls move it by a on that controls de direction of all, in that way, you move only the central one and readjust a bit the others and seems that all are in a separated way.

If the hair is like this you can put bones inside every polygon of the head heir and move it by hand, making two or three animation, when he move the head to every side and when he runs and that's all.

what shapes did u use for the hair

Nice job!
Don't somebody know a method to animate, and simulate hair with bones. We're making a game, and we use smd format, which uses skeletal animation, and we want to animate hair and cloths with bones... any idea?!

umm look at the related videos the modelling is done in maya and the rendering in XSI and the dynamics too i think
btw your work is great dude ^^

Hey man that´s pretty cool, what soft are you using??? Could you tell me what technique for the animation are u applying? Thanks and keep that way, i envy you ;)
Hi Shaun, is that hair animated by hand or are you using constraints for secondary animation?

cloth simulation

thanks for your attentions guys. But honestly I have only used polygon and cloth to do the job. The only thing i want to add is that there is no short cut to do this kinda thing. I did wield the tip of all the hair to one on the top of the head.

just polygon, essentially they are all the same thing.

ok, i modeled the hair in maya. All you have to do is to create one hair which is basically a distorted cylinder and duplicate it many times, and combine the tips of each hair together. This isn't a tutorial since i did it in my own way.
