  • interesting knowing the history of the lapel.

  • @duesenbergmj Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Can you do a video for a pale/reddish skin, strawberry blonde hair? Need a suit 5-6 days a week. What else can I do to change it up besides navy/charcoal, 1 solid, 1 pinstripe of each... what are some other options to mix it up? - Law school student

  • @roamingmadnessify Depending on your school/firm dark brown suits might be acceptable any day of the week, or in more conservative firms only on Friday. Same goes for a Glen check.

  • @RealMenRealStyle Thanks for the advice! Are jackets without lapels too old fashioned?

  • @DrCoupDesprit It's a different and more specialized look that a jacket with lapels -- I wouldn't recommend it for any kind of work or business setting, just because it stands out so much. Could be an interesting piece for social events, depending on the jacket, though.

  • @SirBlade666 Well, when you think about it it's just two quick diagonal cuts, plus a tiny bit more hemming -- practically the same as having a perfectly flat lapel in terms of manufacture. I believe we've already done a French-cuff specific video, but one getting into the more uncommon styles could be fun...

  • Why is a notched lapel so much cheaper and easier to make then the others?

I thought in formalwear the peaked was for black jackets and the shawl for white ones.

    Next video cuff types?

  • @nomobties I like the idea of changing the Jackets to whichever he is talking about.

  • Antonio, this was a fine presentation sequel to your discussion on double breasted and single breasted jackets. A suggestion though. In lieu of graphics you should have changed jackets as you were discussing 'em. I know what your taking about; other viewers may not. Also, how about a critical/historical discussion on lapel withs and notch heights over the decades. That would interest me very much.
