Okinawa Trip (Part 2)

Wow! Culling down an hour and 40 minutes of footage into 2 video posts is hard - I thought I could squeeze everything in, but it looks like I'll be dropping part 3 sometime this week. It'll be mostly about diving. This clip (Part 2) features a visit to Churaumi Aquarium, lots of gorgeous beach shots, trying raw goat meat in Nago with friends, and some silly bowling. Sorry, after seeing "The Cove" i find the first part of this video disturbing. Having lived on Okinawa, i saw first hand large whale and dolphin slaughters. An entire bay filled with blood has an impact. Note the manatees are also critically endangered on Okinawa. Listen- Okinawa is a beautiful island, filled with sweet people, and surrounded by magnificent coral reefs. Perhaps they take that wilderness for granted. Nonetheless, i recommend a dive trip there wholeheartedly. Just keep it real.

We went onto some military controlled land (Okuma), but not on an actual base. It was weird though - like I was transported to America for a bit. Legally speaking, I guess I was. But yeah, you get the point.

The aquarium in Atlanta Georgia comes closest. (Churaumi has the biggest acrylic viewing window in the world, but Atlanta's in second place right behind it.)
