Adobe Photoshop CS5

\\ Solved //
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4056

Download that and run the reg files. No more brush lag.
I think since my card is so new *Ati 5970* It was not being recognized by photoshop. If you get similar problem try that and see if it fixes. Good Luck!

\\ Info //
As you can see in the video, the strokes lag when I create a new layer and draw using my wacom or the mouse (right strokes). When I draw first on the background layer this doesn't happen and I get perfect no laggy strokes (left strokes).

Please If anyone knows a fix for this then please leave a comment below!

Corsair 1000w Modular PSU
Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB Raid0
Coolermaster Cosmos RC-1100 Sport

  • These registry files are for CS4, not CS5, are you sure?

Can I get rid of them if something goes wrong?

  • @SnowWolfAlpha they work fine for CS4 and CS5, both use a similar updated interface than CS3.

  • so i run the files and thats it

i dont have to put them in some foldeR?

  • @zapper9595 hey yeah just run them files and it will install them to your registery or sumit... and it fixed for me.

  • @jakf101 worked for me too ;)

  • wow..thx..I thought it was processor problem....

  • @xhater Thanks for that info! My photoshop suddenly began being all..choppy one day. But now its back to normal.

    Thanks again. x3

  • They didn't work for me(reg files) :/ I get the sluggishness once I make a new layer. If I just paint on background all is fine, then, new layer, shazam, slow as all hell.

  • @thechene The new painter-like brushes are going to be slow unless you have somewhat of a monster computer. There's a fair bit of simulation going on while using those. You'll see the same in corel painter for some of the more complex brushes there. Not as bad as in photoshop, but it is indeed noticeable. Sadly those types of brushes seem a bit ahead of the current medium pc specs and are probably meant for power users with ridiculous rigs. Not sure if those were the brushes you talked about tho

  • Thanks it worked :D

  • " this can delete some files or damage them " are you sure this will work?

  • @thechene

btw, i DID run these registry files without a change. i'm guessing they help fix regular brushes, but not the brushes i am talking about.

  • xfx radeon hd 6790 1gb gddr5

amd phenom II black edition 3.4GHz quad core

    8gb ram

i get slowdown using the brushes that have the virtual brush simulation in the top left corner of the document. It recognizes the tilt of my tablet, but it lags too much.

    document was 300dpi 16inx9in.

is it just beyond my computing means right now to do that?

  • thank you for the advise! it works

  • I love you!! it worked!!
