Enough with the OU hate, as I recall it was one of these matchups where the Miami captains refused to shake hands with the Oklahoma captains. Disrespect man.

Miami inadvertently did Aikman a favor. Would he still be regarded as a top flight college QB if he did not break his leg/ankle and then transfer to UCLA? At UCLA he got to show off his arm. Jimmy Johnson saw his talent and brought him to Dallas. The rest is history.

I remember reading sometime ago a couple of miami players called the hotel the sooners were staying at and were able to get the Boz's room phone number. They woke him up early the morning of the game and started cussin and trash talking to him just to get inside his head before the game started.
